no it doesnt need a memory card but the phone will not hold many without one. you need to hold the button down about half way till you hear a little blip noise and then push it all the way. i always have problems with my K750i but they are good phones. id advise to get a memory stick so you can hold more photos and songs etc

Just taken memory card out of my K750i and camera still works. So maybe your camera memory is full

the camera should kick in as soon as you slide open the lens cover on the back of the phone,this should display the camera viewer on screen,by pressing the button on the top of the phone twice, once for auto focus the other to take the actual pic,try taking a video as well to test it, if the vids work then so should the actual camera.

my cam worked b4 i inserted memory card. It won't hold many without it but should still work. Did your friend give it you? if not might be better to get a new one as they are good phones
