Why dont you make use of maternity leave? If you cant have one, do you have an option of working from home.

I try and work from home as much as possible. I also do all other things during the weekend so that I can focus on the job and the baby during the week. I avoid all unwanted things and prioritize the important ones. Also keep healthy food around you and drink lots of water to keep you energized. Take short breaks to re-energize yourself to be productive so that you can finish your work sooner and be with your baby.

Have someone reliable take care of the baby. If possible, leave for work around 7 am when the traffic is less and come home early before rush hour starts.Be with your baby just before you leave for work and try to come for lunch to meet your baby.

Think about your lifestyle and write down your daily activity list and soon you will know how to plan your day around your work and baby. you can do it! good luck!

Are you a single mom? Any family or firends willing to help out? or there is always Daycare. Some daycares have restrictions on the age your baby needs to be, but there are some that allow infants less then 6 weeks of age. Or there is always the option of a nanny. Ask your employer if there is a child care program offered at your work. If your work is not working with you, then find another job that will. IF your job is that great, then you should be able to get hired anywhere.

Most states allow maternity/parental leave to take care of your newborn, then when you go back to work 6 weeks or however longer it takes, you do what the rest of us do that have to work, you put the child in daycare or hire a nanny/babysitter and tighten the pursestrings so that you can make ends meet.

You have to be very organized and take any help you can get. There might be days were you are like OMG what did I get myself into but keep your head up and it gets easier as your child gets older. You are taking responsibility of your child and caring for her/him and yourself. Give yourself a pat on the back. If you can find a good babysitter if that is not a option find a good day care. And enjoy every moment with your child because time goes by fast!

You have a Medical leave of absence at many large business. Other then that daycare. They have programs at the state and federal level to help pay for them. They scale you according to your pay. It's really hard. I raised my 14 year old by myself until she was 11. Keep your head up, you have a hill to climb in life and you'll make it!
