There are a few highlights that you just can't miss...
1) Istanbul is amazing with a lot of history and culture. Spend some time in the Grand Bazaar and go to the Blue Mosque at night when they do a great light show.
2) Cappadocia (forgive the spelling) - has rock formations that are thousands of years old. Houses are built into the mountains and is something you will only see here. Goreme is the best city in this region.
3) Fethiye - It is a quiet seaside town with the cheapest and best sailing in the med.
4) Kusadasi - If you are looking for beers and people looking for a good time, this is your place. it is an easy trip from here to the ancient ruins of Ephasis and is only a ferry ride from the Greek islands.

Istanbul is really beautiful, the architecture of the city is really unique,
you might probably know that Istanbul is the only city in the world which is placed is two different continents,
the architecture of this city is magnificent because when you travel from the European side to the Asian side or vice versa, you really feel the change, not only in architecture but in the culture and lifestyle of people,
I'm not Turkish, but traveling to Istanbul is one of the best experiences of my life,
Check out Dulmabaghce and Topkapi palace, as well as Hagia Sofia

There's an archaeological site called Ephesus which is near Izmir. It's really amazing and I think it's quite cheap to get in.

Personally, I like the drumstick, plus an occasional piece of the breast. I can gobble that stuff all the time.
