I love the name, and I like the nickname Brielle. But my husband's brother seems to have the market for names that start with "br." should we use it?

Depends on what the cousins' names are. I'm not sure I'd like having a name like "everyone else" in the family. Brielle is a beautiful nickname, though. She might appreciate going by her full name when she's around her cousins though.

Gabrielle is a very nice name. Just make sure you give her a nickname like Brie, or Brielle...because nobody should have to go through life being called Gabby.

Pretty. I love Brielle as the short-form. I've never heard that before.

Nice. I have a neice named Gabrielle. It's a nice choice, and it's not ghetto like a lot of names these days.

If you like the name then absolutely. Don't worry about what everyone else does or thinks. Especially family members.
