Have you ever been abused physically/verbally? What was the reason for this abuse?

its learned behavior... babies are NOT born that way. so, i'd say the reason is the parents.

Yes and it was nothing nice i learned it while i was growing up ...I used to see my mom get beat up all the time so then when i grew up i thought thats how i was to be treated and i stayed in a abusive relationship for 5 years after he put me in the hospital is when enough was enough !!!!!

I was in my first marriage and the reason was, he was an a@@hole. He learned the behavior from his father and felt the only way he could feel good, was by putting me and our son down and hurting us. He became an alcoholic and told me he was gay. The abuse continued until I finally had to throw him out. Hopefully I got my son out before he learned that behavior.

My huband physically abused me, he broke 2 of my ribs and my elbow....just because I confronted him about emails he had been writing to his ex...about how much he loves her and all that crap...this woman actually cheated on him....I haven't pressed charges yet...he is too scared that he will get kicked out of the army.

abusing is type of complex problem.may be superiority or inferiority complex.actually trying to dominate or trying to put others down n a cheap way.uncivilized ,uneducated or complex ed people's short cut way to dominate others.

Just for laughs, we both abuse each other verbally but we apologize and we stop when it gets too bad. its all comical.

yes.....an ex who drank too much and thought he could get away with it....only happened once.....he never got another chance with me....
