OK, bear with me on this one. Heres the Scenario: Super Bowl XLI, Chicago Bears VS. San Diego Chargers, 12 seconds remaining in the game, score is 31-30 Chicago. Its 4th down, San Diego has the Ball on Chicago's 30 yard line. Rivers hands off to LT, he goes through the gap, into the secondary, breaks a tackle, gets to the 15, 7 seconds left, its LT versus Brian Urlacher, if Tomlinson beats Urlacher, San Diego wins the Super Bowl, if Urlacher makes the tackle Chicago wins the Super Bowl.
Who do you think makes the play to win the Super Bowl for their team, Urlacher or LT?

On pure stats..... let me break it down.....
Urlacher is 6' 4" and 258 lbs.
Tomlinson is 5' 10" and 221 lbs.
Urlacher has an average 5.8 solo tackles per game.
Tomlinson had an average 5.3 yds per carry between the opp. 20 and 49 yard line with a long carry of 41 yards in the same category.
If Urlacher is running towards him, Urlacher makes the tackle and Bears win.
If Urlacher hasn't taken more than three steps, Tomlinson will make up for his size disadvantage and get by for a win by the Chargers.

well that's a dumb question bcuz urlacher is gonna knock LT so hard the first time he gets the ball he'll be gone in the 1st half. plus wouldn't a smart person go for a field goal? and 1 last thing, the bears wouldn't let up 30 points in a game if they were playing like they should, and they sure as heck wouldn't get 31. They would win tough.
GO BEARS!!

I'm rooting for Urlacher but it's LT. Brian whiffed on Tom Brady vs. the Pats so how can he stop the best of his time possibly top ten ever when he can't stop a QB that has no speed what-so-ever

Lt breaks the tackle because as good as urlacher is it's just too much to ask of one man to tackle LT unless he's got a hold of him.

Urlacher yearly gets voted by his peers as one of the most over-rated players in the league. LT is the next MVP. There is your answer. No way Chicago's weak offense puts 31 on SD or any other AFC representative. Hell, they are probably one and done in the play-offs.

I'd have to go with the field goal in this situation...
"...and here's the kick, it's gooooooooooodddd!! The Chargers are the new champions of the NFL!!!!"
As for a full game match up, Urlacher can't tackle what he can't catch.

LT for sure. He is probably the best athlete I have ever seen and his O line tends to open up some big holes!
