Most sleep through the night around 3 months, but some don't sleep through the night until 6-9 months of age.
Mine started sleeping through the night (consistently) a few days before she turned 3 months old.

When they're ready. Your baby should start developing these habits around 3 months, but it varies from child to child.
You might try things like placing a CD/Mp3 player in the nursery on autoplay. Use soothing music (Mozart is usually the fav) or get an aquarium (with fish or without at this point) and let the bubbling sound serve as white noise for Baby. Whatever you choose, make it a consistent source of uninterrupted and fairly uniform sound. See if that helps Baby keep a consistent sleep pattern.
Do your best, and follow your instincts. You're still the superhero, so you may be called on to fight off the bad guys. But be consistent, and you'll do fine. Good luck--

At about 7 weeks, the brain matures enough to allow the baby to sleep longer at night. This is a great time to set up a bedtime ritual, like a bath, bottle, story, and bed.
Over the next few weeks after that, the baby will sleep for slightly longer and longer periods of time. Both of mine slept through the night at 10 weeks. At 12 weeks my son started waking again, for a quick bottle and then right back to sleep, but my new daughter sleeps right on through. What happens may depend on the baby's weight, growth rate, and nutritional needs.
You will sleep again, promise!

All infants start sleeping at night as soon as they are born. They sleep during the day as well. Not for very long in either day or night.

It varies. My daughter started sleeping through the night at about 8 weeks. She did this until she was about 8 months old, then she started getting up a couple times a night. My mother-in-law said my husband slept through the night from the time he came home from the hospital. Me? I NEVER slept through the night (on a regular basis), still don't. My mom said my brother, didn't sleep through the night until he was about 4 YEARS OLD. We were both up several times a night. I think I was up every 1 to 2 hours until I was at least a year old. I feel sorry for my mom!!!!!

My son is almost 12 weeks old and he started sleeping through the night 2 weeks ago, but my oldest son didn't start sleeping all night til he was a year old. Each baby is different.

Sometimes babies have their nights/days mixed up for the first few weeks but if you force them to stay up during the day for few days they'll sleep more at night. Babies typically don't start sleeping through the night until 4-6 months of age.

Every child is different. My son started sleeping through the night as soon as he started eating cereal. He would sleep for at least 8 hours at a time maybe longer sometimes..
