Yes, I know someone who did it too. What did she find? That she passed the beach longingly as she went from home to work and back again. Rarely got to go on the weekend because of errands and everyday chores that needed to be done. (Like cut the grass that never stopped growing.) She found that the economy was depressed that things she needed were hard to find and expensive. She found that if you end up with a hard to treat medical condition you'll have trouble finding a specialist.
There is a price for paradise.
Keep your paradise vacation place that. Just go back for a visit every year.
