like you I always forgive but i never forget because there's a lesson that needed to be learned . If I forget I'm just setting myself up for another hurt or disappointment.

You're right. Well I don't think that anyone can actually "forget" its beyond our human capabilities, because no matter what memories never die. I tend to forgive most of the time although its hard but its a lot more better than revenge.
Also, when I forgive, its good for myself because it means that I face the world with a positive attitude :)
