If you have a regular cycle, as you are describing, then yes you most likely ovulate 14 days after the first day of your cycle. But to increase your chances have intercourse every day or every other day of the days leading up to ovulation. Try using an ovulation predictor kit or charting your BBT. Both of those methods will help pinpoint your ovulation date.

You have a 72 hour window of getting pregnant when your ovulating. Get a basil thermometer and check your body temp everyday at the same time. Your temp will rise slightly when your ovulating . For most women, 96 to 98 degrees is considered normal prior to ovulation and 97 to 99 degrees after ovulation. There is also home kits out there that will tell you if your ovulating. The less you and your husband have sex before (no masturbation by him either) the better chance you have of getting pregnant. 2-3 days before. That way the sperm count is at it's highest. You can get the thermometer at CVS or Savons . It is not digital it is the old glass type and the most accurate. They are around 5-10 dollars each. Good Luck...
Check out the link below that will also help.

I know I'll probably get slammed with thumbs down for being a guy, but anyway... To quote the source: "ovulation usually takes place 14 days after the beginning of your menstrual cycle. The time of ovulation within the menstrual cycle is determined by the luteal phase, which is usually 12 to 16 days long. You can calculate the time of ovulation within your cycle by subtracting the length of your luteal phase from the length of your cycle. For example, if your cycle is 28 days long and your luteal phase is 12 days long, the ovulation will occur on day 16 of your cycle (28-12=16). The exact time of ovulation may vary within your cycle, because ovulation can be delayed by a number of factors such as stress, illness, diet, or increased physical activity."
According to Federal statistics, more babies are conceived this time of year than any other time. August and September are the two months that see the most births (my son was born 9/3/06, conception was calculated to be 12/13/05).

There are so many things into making a baby. I never realize it until we tried to have one. Here are my ideas.
Lube. Whatever you are using my not be baby friendly. I bought lube from http://www.slumberparties.com/ and it's VERY natural and i got pregnant the following month. (don't know if we got lucky, or if the lube was the answer) But you can look on other products and it will tell you if it's baby friendly or not.
Temperature. If you are really TRYING you need to take your temperature everyday and keep record of it. This will give you a heads up with you are about to ovulate. And if you DON'T get pregnant in a year, and go to the doctor, they will want records.
If you don't want to to the temperature, you can kinda guess and buy ovulation sticks. I bought them really cheep from this web sight. They worked good. www.early-pregnancy-test.com
Good luck!

Anywhere from 10-16 days after the first day of your period is your best bet. And i've been told to have sex every other day so that the sperm count has enough time to rebuild. Good Luck.

Your timing sounds pretty good. However, start taking your temperature before you get out of bed in the morning. Assuming you're not sick, when your temp drops a little (maybe a couple of tenths of a degree), you might be ovulating. Be sure you keep a chart. It may take a couple of months before you figure out your pattern, but you'll definitely see it! I tried only twice in my life to get pregnant and it worked both times! Good luck! :-)

According to your cycle, your dates sound good. Maybe you should use an ovulation kit to determine exactly when you will ovulate. The ovulation kit will tell you what days to test depending on your cycle.
