they cost a little more than other cell phones for the minutes, but you don't have to sign a contract. also you are only paying for the minutes that you use.

I have a tracfone, because it is cheap and easy. I buy a 250 minute card about once every 2 months. Each card is $49.99, So I only spend about $25/month. I don't use it all that much, so it works terrific for me. If you use a phone a lot, I wouldn't recommend it. In my area, you can get a cricket phone plan with unlimited access. You might look into something like that in your area.

Prepaid TracFone is O.K., but not cheap. If you buy small denomiation pre-paid cards, you can be paying up to almost 50 cents per minute. (THE PREPAID MINUTES, OR UNITS, ONLY LAST 60 DAYS.) Would suggest Virgin Mobile, at 18 cents a minute, always, no other charges, and the prepaid lasts 90 DAYS!!!!!

You can get a Tracfone with minutes for $19.99.
But other carriers give you a better deal when it comes to the price for minutes.
