He and Patrick are gay. Check the episode where they adopt a jellyfish and end up living together and arguing like an old married couple. Plus Spongebob dressed like a woman during that episode and complained about being left home to do housework, raise the kids, they slept in the same bed, etc. Not really a show for kids.

Yes I have thought of that too in the many great Sponge Bob debates I have sadly been subjected to on this answer board lol. Not to get off the subject of Sponge Bob (he's a sponge, lets just leave it at that). What I found disturbing was the fairly odd parents, there are A LOT of sexual references in that show and the one girls name is Trixie Tang. Nuff said.

I found out a few years ago that he and Patrick are gay. I also heard that the show's writers are gay as well. I guess that would explain alot of things...

yea the sponge is gay. in the movie he rips off patrick's pants and u c "goofy goober" underwear. at the very end of the movie, they parody twisted sister's "i wanna rock".
