You should call an ENT, they will most likely schedule an appt for 1 week after the break (but possibly sooner considering her age)....generally noses are not reset until the swelling go down, hence the 1 week rule. Given her age I would at the very least have your pediatrician take a Look and possibly get en x-ray. Don't forget that we have yet another holiday weekend and doctors offices are overbooking, so make sure that you call first thing in the morning. Good luck.

It should be checked by a doctor. There is a very slight chance of loose pieces of broken bone moving around. The chance is very small but the risk isn't worth taking.
In general a broken nose just needs to be left alone if there are no complications. It will heal and all a doctor can do, if there are no complications, is to tape it so it does not move.

I am a nurse at a ear, nose, and throat office. Sounds like your child may have a fractured nose. If you call your pediatrician he/she may order a nasal bone xray and have you daughter follow up in about 2 days after the nasal trauma with an ENT doc (after the swelling has gone down.)
The ENT doctor may be able to adjust the nose back in place in the office, or may have to have your daughter be put under general anesthesia for a closed reduction. OR it may be fractured but will heal in place on its own.
I suggest you call her doctor or go the the E.R. asap to have films taken.

Take her to a doctor! There are things they can do. They can tell you if it's really broken, and see how bad the damage is. They can give her appropriate medicine for the pain. And they can tell you how to care for her while she's healing, and what signs to watch for. If you don't, then it's so much easier for you to be accused of child abuse, even if you didn't do it to her. Not taking her to a doctor is a kind of abuse called neglect. Please take her immediately.

definite, even nonetheless that is not likely. It takes some tension to break a bone and the tissues interior your nostril are very gentle, so any tension super adequate to break the bone could likely reason injury to the tissues contained in the nostril inflicting them to bleed.

If the nose is not set while its broken, they will have to re break it to straighten it out later. I suggest you deal with it now.
