It may mean a sinus infection if this happens over one week and constantly. If you have yellow/green boogers just in the morning, it may not mean it is a sinus infection, your nose just may dry up while you sleep.
Try saline spray and keep your mucus membranes moist. If it still persists, you may need to go on an antibiotic or get a sinus culture.

Probably a cold, yellow actually is good–a sign that the body is fighting the virus and the cold is on its way out!
A true cold is always a virus and lasts three to five days.
If your child gets a cold, her nose will first run clear with some yellowing and thickening of the mucus towards the tail end of the three to five days. Colds are viral infections and therefore don’t need antibiotics. However, both viral and bacterial infections produce mucus; the snot starts as clear, then progresses to cloudy, then yellow (and sometimes even green) as more and more immune cells are being sent by the body to congregate in the area under attack. As the ranks of fighter cells swell, the goo thickens. Hence, yellow actually is good–a sign that the body is fighting the virus and the cold is on its way out! If, however, a yellow runny nose lasts more than a week and continues to thicken, you may be dealing with a superimposed bacterial infection, often settling down in the sinuses and warranting a trip to the doctor’s office.

Nope necessarily... it means you have yellow boogers. Unless you have a fever, feel ill, or have some other symptoms don't worry about it.

Yellow means you've got some bacteria in there. Take care of yourself to get better. If you don't already feel sick, you're on you way.
