ok well it was uploading a video (here in your arms by hellogoodbye and then it said its ok to disconnect ipod and then i did and since 1 hour ago it wsays DO NOT DISCONNECT then i connected it again and this thing says object unknown what do i do?

Well, DON'T disconnect cuz it's updating ur ipod. So next time do do that. and how to unfreeze it...
That's easy to unfreeze it! Just follow these steps :)
1.) Press the Menu button and the Select button( the center button) BOTH @ the same time.
2.) Hold them down for 6-10 seconds or until you c the Apple Logo
3.) Let go of Menu and Select
4.) Then it should be ok!
5.) Now you're finished! :)

Worst case, you will have to use the software that came with it to re-initialize it (losing the contents).
Best case, do a reset by holding the center button and the menu button . It may reset and continue the download it may not... (god has a sense of humor).
Next time, be sure to 'eject' the disk before disconnecting it.

My ipod done the same thing this is what you do you know the hold button on the top well slide it over and back then hold the menu and the center button at the same time then a screen will pop up with a apple on it then your music and everything might stay on it. I hope it works. God bless you

Just disconnect it, and if the screen is frozen, toggle the hold switch on and off and press the select button and the menu button together. Connect it again and it'll ask you if you'd like to continue downloading it and click yes. Good luck!

Ha! Thats funny, I was just listening to that song.
Okay, try this... usually works for me... keep your middle round button pressed for 15-20 secs and then release. If it doesnt do anything, try 2-3 more times.
