there's no point why is everybody addicted to pi, the only reason we needed it was so that we can calculate the area and circumference of circles and this can be done using a trick to get by the irrational pi by using limits, and thre is nothing more spectacular about pi especially to for someone on yahoo answer

Just program your computer to iterate Newton's method to find 4arctan(1) and you'll get as many digits as you want.
