A rooster or cockrel is an intact male chicken (that is, has his testicles) A capon is a castrasted chicken. A hen is a female chicken and a pullet is a female chicken who is not yet old enough to lay eggs. A chick is a baby of either sex.

no, a rooster is a male chicken. usually they are brown and big with the plume of feathers on top of their heads. they are the ones that crow in the morning.
