It's always sad to loose someone that was in high power or famous no matter how old and people are just expressing how they feel over the loss of former President Ford.

I don't think anyone was shocked, just saddened by the death of a former President. People have no tenderness any more.

I don't think so many were shocked because he had been in and out of the hospital lately. As for the media they will always sensationalize anything.
