I think that you did the right thing. He should have never hit her in the first place. I am proud of you. If you love her you should always try to protect her you did a great thing. Who knows maybe you were protecting your friend she might have whooped his butt. You are a great boy friend keep up the good work.

1) Your friend needs to grow a pair. Nobody with any class hits anybody else, boy or girl.
2) I'm surprised you didn't deck your friend for hitting your girlfriend and calling her a whore. If she won the race fair and square, he was a total dill-weed for hitting her and should have charges brought against him for assault.
3) You need to choose your loyalties: do you really want a friend who would think nothing of hitting and insulting your girlfriend?
4) As the parent of 2 boys, I would expect them to stand up for their girlfriends if they won a fair race and got punched and insulted anyway. You should be thankful she's still speaking to you if you let your friend get away with hitting her and calling her a whore in front of you.

As a mom of three daughters, I applaud you on both levels.....as long as you are done with that friend. Regardless of whatever else that went on, it is never okay to hit a woman. He disrespected her and you, being that he was supposed to be your friend. You were definitely not wrong to leave him standing there and you shouldn't encourage anyone to hit someone else, even if he deserved it. Your "friend" should consider the fact that you didn't call the police the nicest thing you've ever done for him.

Your friends needs to lay off the 'roids. Seriously.
You did the right thing, I think. Your friend needs to know that that kind of behavior is unacceptable, whether he loses to a girl or a guy. Also, by not letting your girlfriend hit him back, you saved her from a potential criminal charge, just in case your friend decided to cry and tell the cops (doubtful, if they were just racing, but people are unpredictable and silly like that sometimes).

Don't worry, you did the right thing. She probably wouldn't have had the chance to hit him, I would have done it first.
Also that remark about bro's b4 ho's would have been it,
I would have also told him that he was no longer a friend. No REAL friend or MAN would have hit your g/f or any woman for that manner.
I also would have told him If he pushed the issue I would report him to the Police for assault on your g/f.

honestly i would have had the guy arrested for hitting her. thats not right. just for her winning, absolutely no reason to hit her. and since i dont know what kind of hitting u mean, if u meant punching hard like possible black eye, bruise or whatever. those kinds of things, i would have hit him back myself. i dont care if its my best friend, or a stranger. thats just messed up. and if i found out some guy hit my daughter, he would be arrested pretty damn quick anyway. (u can tell i really dont approve of a guy hitting a girl)

I think your friend did a very wrong thing. If your girlfriend didn't really misbehave and just raced then its absolutely unfair of him to hit her. Anyways what kind of guy is he? No guy I have known will hit a girl, even if she is insolent. I think you did right thing by stopping your gf and telling your friend that he shouldn't have done that. I understand why you didn't hit him but I really think that he is not a good human being.

It is wrong to hit a woman. A real man would have whooped his friends rump! That is what I would expect MY daughter's boyfriend to do. But then again I think I raised my daughter well enough to know not to be an idiot and RACE CARS.....grow up.

Yea I think you were very very wrong. but not for keeping her from hitting him. You were very wrong for not being the one to beat the workings out of your supposed friend for hitting a female. I would have cleaned his clock then calmed the girlfriend down and took her home and not talked to your friend again untill he came and oppologized to her...
