For dining in resort ($100 US bill)? Local dinning ($40 US bill)? Doorman? Taxi's (They seem extremely happy with 20%)? Box boy/baggers (at WalMart/Mazalan sign noted: they work only for tips)?

Most people give 10%... Some others, including me, usually give 15%. If you give them 20% of course they will be happy, anyone would be!!!

For box boy/baggers depends on the amount of items you bought. It ranges from $5 MXP to $10 MXP (50 cents to 1 dollar)

Hi I own a restaurant in Mexico. Regular tip is 15%. 20% and you get royalty service next time you are there. But in Cancun or other touristic places is different, they expect more because they are used to that so in that case 20%. Also about box boys they do not receive a salary so tips are the only money they get, 5 pesos for packing your stuff is OK. If you want they will take your stuff to your car and you can give them more.

local dining and resort dining, 30%
doorman 50 pesos or 10 dollars.
Taxi yeah 20% sounds right,
box boys you only give them a couple of pesos..5 to 10 pesos..which is 50 cents
but dont worry about it 2 much...as long as u give them a tip, they wont care about the amount

Mexicans tip from 10% to nothing. I usually tip around 10-15% but it always depends on service. Some people get nothing.

10% would do, but in restaurants from 10% to 20% is good depending on the restaurant and the service.
