Because he/she is underage?

The rule is there for a reason.

There are reasons there is a legal drinking age...one of which is the fact that a 13 year old brain isn't developed enough to handle the effects of alcohol. The 13 year old brain is still developing and alcohol can impair the development...causing problems in the future.

Plus, it's just stupid!!

there is alot wrong with that. do your research...you want physically i will give you both. when you drink it impairs your ability to think logically. i have had 3 friends die do to underage drinking...1st was one of my best friends who only drank one, then wanted another one and on and on, he contracted alcahol poisoning, yes it is real...and very sad. he died after suffering for about 9 hours in a hospital bed. 2nd was a friend that was drinking, thought he was invincable so he went and jumped in the middle of a busy road, was hit by a car going 70 and was pronounced DOA (dead on arrival) #3 was later on in life, drinking with a friend when they wanted to do a BB gun fight... because his was drinking also he didnt catch that he grabbed an actual gun, aimed and fired killing my friend instantly...3 cases of physical evidance of why drinking is bad...you are 13, if you do your research you will find that shorter people become intoxicated way faster than taller people (adults). diffusion sux doesnt it, in a taller/ larger person the alcohol gets "spread thinner" withen the body, where as in a shorter person the alcohol in you blood may be the same but it is more condensed making you look like a bigger assthan the larger person...but thin again if you are asking this question you really dont care do you

phyiscally: at the age of 13 your body has not developed to its full extent , so its much harder on their liver, kidneys, and other organs. Plus if someone starts drinking 1 can then it becomes 2,3 4,5 and thats when it really does harm. but as far as just one can nothing.

this is not a good theory to indulge to the ingredient of drunkenness, yet specific eu international locations enable boys and ladies as youthful as 10 to purchase and drink beer...tricky liquor is yet another tale, yet i've got seen youngsters of 12 and 13 walk right into a pub in Munich and ask for beer and be served without hesitation. A verify grew to become into with them, however the verify stood via and watched, and while the babies have been served, the verify proceeded to order a lager and sat down with the babies and that all of them enjoyed their beverages. in one occasion, the verify of the youngster grew to become right into a city piddy - a community cop!

Drinking, as other drugs that cause impairment, slows the development of brain cells and other cells that cause growth. Adults usually don't have a problem with that, as they've grown to their full potential. The only damage to adults is that each alcoholic beverage damages a few (just a few) brain cells each drink.

but a 13 year old that's growing...well, you risk damaging your growth cells, both in your brain and out.

At the age of 13, your brain is not fully developed. It doesn't finish developing until around 24, actually. Alcohol interferes with the finishing process of brain development.

Also, younger teenagers have enough going on chemically in their bodies that their livers get overwhelmed much more easily when you drink alcohol.

The earlier a person is introduced to alcohol, the more likely future dependence is. Do not get them in the habit too early. Also the alcohol can be bad for developing bones and muscles. However in some cultures this is pperfectly normal.
