No. That is a hair myth. Shaving does not make your hair thicker, longer or darker. If that were true I would've shaved my head a long time ago...

Shaving cuts the hairs blunt, making them Appear thicker. When a hair grows out on it's own, it grows to a fine point so it looks thinner, and this is the confusion most people get. As for the hair growing in darker, this does not happen. The only reason this happens on a man's face is because men have testosterone and this is how their facial hair grows in as they progress through puberty. Take pubic hair for example...When it first grows in, it has a coarse texture and is dark. After shaving...the texture stays the same.

She can use Veet or Nair, but these might burn her skin, especially if it's sensitive to begin with. She can wax, or tweeze but this would be time consuming and painful.

The reason shaving doesn't have a lasting effect is because it's not ripping the hair out from it's follicle, it's just trimming it at the surface. Waxing and depilatory creams take the hair out from underneath the skin, in the hair follicle so it takes longer for it to grow back because of this.

Waxing gives a cleaner and better look, it will grow thicker if shaved. Electrolysis actually slows down the process of hair growth on the face and body and is a much better way to go.

I heard that hair doesn't grow by courser from shaving. This is just urban myth. The stuble will likely come back sooner with a flat edge from shaving. Waxing pulls the hair from under the skin and would take longer to come back. WAX it, please!

it doesn't really make it grow thicker, shaving takes the fine ends off and leaves the thick end intact, so it looks thicker, wax or bleach is your best options

Tell her not to shave, use something like nair or wax they are better for the skin as well as her appearance. She doesn't want to end up with a 5'oclock shadow~

It is a myth that shaving makes hair grow faster, but thicker i have no idea. Otherwise, as a guy, i would recommend waxin', so it feels better.

i don't know much about wax, but i know that shaving makes the hair grow back faster and stiffer than before.

threading is pretty good, gives a lovely clean finish too. waxing is probably better long-term. laser is even an option if the problem is bad
