I love System of a Down and they are my personal favorite band. However, I refuse to call any band the best ever because each band can be better than any other in some way.
If you attend a System concert, you'll find yourself in the company of a very diverse crowd of people. It's not all "16 year olds angry at the government".
And to say that they are only interested in money and never do anything for the greater good... makes me sick.
Since they came together, they have been constantly working towards many different social causes, and raising awareness for things around the world. And unlike other bands who rode the anti Bush wave, Systems lyrics always stood true to their policy of writing about general problems with society and the human condition, instead of specific current geopolitical issues.
Best band ever? No
Band with the strongest message that I've seen? Yes.

I think they are more of the problem than a solution. First of all there music is ok at best, they are not bad or great musican's. Well I listen and like a few bands like this. System is different to me because they get a bunch of 16 year old kids pi#sed off at the government about things that they cannot change until they are 18 anyways. That and look up some of there facts for yourself they lie just as much as the government. Yet one of the most annoying factors is that they have money but they do music only for the money atleast when a band is hungry they try to make good music. They are all about the money they don't care about anyone they have all that money yet give none to charity or use it to support there views in government. Why? because they would have nothing to complain about. They are just as bad as CNN well mabey not that bad but pretty close. Do yourself a favor and listen to like some old rage against the machine or megadeth if you are into political music with anger, because system is for the people to ignorant to understand the lyrics in Rage.

They're not the best band ever but they are a very good refreshing change in music. Their songs actually mean something compared to most bands around today *cough*"My chemical romance"*cough.

Not quite the best ever but they are right up there. They are certainly the best rock band putting out albums. From old to new it all kicks ***. But, I thought Mesmerize was WAY better than Hypnotize.

I'm listening to them right now and there great but theres to many great bands out there to judge who really is the best.
