Definitely no. He was a transvestite singer who's main claim to fame was being Boy George's friend. He had a hit in the 80's with 'Calling Your Name'.

If you are referring to the original band aid then no. different Marilyn, he was good pals with Boy George in the 1980s. Marilyn Manson isn't old enough to be the same Marilyn. Plus I don't think I'd like to ask Mr Manson that question face to face - LOL!!

Noooooo!!!. Marilyn Manson = very talented (if a little mis-understood). Marilyn = 1980's pop one hit wonder wannabee. Only sucess on the back of popular 80's group 'Culture Club' and the whole 'Gender Bender' craze. Interetsing fact about Marylin (not Manson)...Was recently arrested for shoplifting in Borders bookshop, W1 by a mate of mine!

No mate, the marilyn from band aid was the odd chap who was chums with boy george at the time. He appears on some of the "Best 100 " programmes every now and then, and looks like a complete druggy now.

Ok not to argue but Grummel is right. "Nobody" Marilyn was never in Duran Duran, you may be confused by Nick Rhodes who did wear makeup.
