HAHAHA, I always check to make sure its not green (meaning infection) or red (meaning bloody nose).
Kinda funny though. We all do it.

Color. The color of expectorant can be very telling. If it's clear, you are healthy. If it's greenish, yellowish, creamy.....you have an infection of some sort. If you get sick, your Dr. will ask you what color your expectorant is.
