Okay here is the deal. I have $650 exactly. Should i get PS3 or Xbox360. I have heard that PS3 is having problems with freezing up and not playing ps2 games. But the PS3 is $600, and all of the places i have looked for are sold out, or like 800-900 dollars, i have played sony all my life but, what should i get and give me reasons please.
thx.

neither...anybody who spends 650 dollars on a game system has more money than brains. Any parent who buys that crap for their kid should be deported.

I say go with the 360, the games overall are more fun. I like the controller better for the 360. They didn't try to rip you off by creating this thing called blue ray dvd and then tell you that you need it. They keep the game system at a reasonable price and it comes with a game, well mine did. The playstation is a little a head of it's time and the games won't really be making use of it's capabilities until right before the next generation of gaming systems are due out. So i think over all the 360 is the best bet! and I have no regrets!
Like the guy said earlier, xbox live is awesome! there are so many gamers online there.

Right now Xbox is better. There are more games for it, and there are better games for it. However, a year or two from now you may find yourself wishing you had a ps3. Both machines are pretty close in power. You should make your decision based on exclusive games. If you own just one of them then there will be certain games that you won't be able to play. Would you rather play Gears of War, or Resistance Fall of Man? Halo 3, or Metal Gear Solid 4? Mass Effect, or Final Fantasy XIII? I really want to play Halo 3 and Mass Effect, so I went with the 360. And since I've been playing Gears of War, Oblivion, and Rainbow Six Vegas I haven't regretted it.

Looks like you prefer the Xbox 360, go for it!

XBOX 360 - I have both, and I'll take the 360 over my PS3 any day of the Week. Plus you'll have extra money to spend on games like Gears of War, Dead Rising, and Saints Row. The only good game I've played on PS3 is Resistence: Fall of Man and I think Gears of War is way better. I have Madden on PS3 and 360 and the Xbox version is waaayy better. Sony has screwed me out of $720.
and it's true PS3 is not completely backwards compatible! I tried to play Devil May Cry and Metal Gear it it won't work, I called them and they said they will have something I can download next year that will make them work, booooo

Get an Xbox 360. Oblivion, Gears of War, Dead Rising and St.'s Row are all fun games. PS3 doesn't have any really good games yet. Wait a year or two to buy a PS3. (They're both good, but Microsoft has a healthy head start.)

The p23 is probably the best system, but the price really mamkes a difference. The 360 is ok but the only games they really have are first person shooters and sports games. The Wii is cheapest at $250 and it has motion sensing technology.

Neither. Save your money, 6 months from now the consoles for both will be less than $400 and you will be kicking yourself for spending the money.
Go buy a computer, the graphics will be better and you will have many more options for future upgrades.

ehh there both a waste. you can save up some more and build a kick azz PC , but if you gotta have one I would say Xbox360 because it offers more for less.
Xbox live is free and Microsoft is a little less insane with there add on peripherals prices
