I hear a lot of people saying that the US is meddeling in countries affairs. I know we have a bad president but why dont we just leave all of our bases across the world and become pacifists we'll just tell the world "you didnt want us there, why shold we save you then?" HOW WOULD YOU LIKE FENDING FOR YOUSELVES against the terrorsits if you dont like us being there?

im so sick of people tlkaing bad about are country and its policies even though i know they suck and the president sucks im still proud to say that i am american and if you dont like us they why should we stay and help? i wanted to save the iraqis from saddam and now we screwed that up

It isn't just the case of peoples of other countries that feel that the governing powers of the U.S. should not interact as much in the affairs of other countries, but even moreso, the citizens of the U.S. feel that there are so many overwhelming problems right here at home that need complete and immediate attention, other than going to other places to lend a helping hand.
You see, it's a big political and financial game that's being played. Politicians and groups that have influence over political decisions, feel it's more important to go after videogames, entertainers and various products, as opposed to homelessness, hunger, proper medical care, proper education and other services to the humanities.

I really don't know how I feel about that Idea. On one hand I say "It's about time we quit worrying about others and take care of ourselves." but on the other if we just let everything go won't the problems soon be right at our boarders?
It's a toss up for me.

yes bush has his nose where it doesnt belong in other countries w no loss to him chaney has his pockets filled with the monies to have been spent on iraq us troops haliburton and the war only cost us one billion a day rite day taxpayers and you wonder why

I think we should concentrate on our own problems,and only go to other countries if we are asked to,unless we are threatened or directly attacked,and if we are,nuke 'em and be done with it.

US has its problems on its own such as crime rates, overcrowded prison, unemployment and other benefits that they should pay attention to!!
They should do that instead of nosing around other people's business.
