as some distance with the aid of fact the Mercedes are in contact, i could take the ML over the GL. the only Lexus SUV worth a **** is the Lexus version of the Land Cruiser, the LX. Out of all the automobiles, i could take the ML for my area. kmizzle, what approximately people who unquestionably do have a choose for an SUV? maximum do no longer, yet some human beings do. the issue is a lot of persons having them, and not having a choose for them. Hybrids are not precisely the respond the two as you ought to take away the batteries. confident, the batteries could be recycled, yet there is often some cloth left over in the fashion of distinctly poisonous metals. there replaced right into a attempt between a BMW 520d and a Toyota Prius. no longer in basic terms did the BMW get greater effectual mileage, it additionally positioned out much less emissions. OUCH. to function greater beneficial insult to break, that BMW replaced into diesel. DOUBLE OUCH. BMW's hybrid gadget won't place self assurance in batteries the two. Many SUVs, fantastically the Mercedes and BMW SUVs are LEVs to boot.

When I was young there were vehicles like the Ford Bronco and the International Scout that were pretty good vehicles for rough or muddy terrain. They were basically 4WD trucks with an enclosed rear end. Family cars that were made for carrying extra stuff were called station wagons. Now SUV's have transmogrified the station wagon into a tall, unstable station wagon primarily because station wagon owners are embarrassed to be identified as such, and they're willing to risk the extra rollovers in order to have the different image.

We have 6 kids (2 grown, I admit...but 2 grandchildren), my husband is 6'4 and son 6'5 and 6'4, daughter 5'10. We sell snowblowers and when it snows a lot, we dont have time to plow our drive and need to get to work no matter what. The cities depend on us, the commercial snow users depend on us and you (the consumer) NEVER buy until it snows!!!

In order to compensate for their lack of driving ability. If they'd spent money on driving lessons they wouldn't be able to afford the SUV!!!

It is only ego. They will tell you that they need them for the grocery store or because of x number of kids. Nope, the bigger the better. They have little regard for conservation either. Maybe they figure they can buy natural resources too.

Good question. I always laugh when I see this tiny, stuck up looking woman driving a full size Hummer.
You know...I often wonder why people buy fast sports cars, but drive 10 under the speed limit.
