Before the Iraq war, George W. Bush claimed that Hussein was trying to keep his WMD's and to acquire more of them. Hussein claimed he was doing no such thing, and that he was rid of all that he had. Hussein refused inspectors access to certain locations and aging stockpiles of Sarin were found. But no other WMDs were found.

One of the two was lying. Was Bush lying and Hussein innocent, or was Hussein lying and Bush justified?

Hussein was lying and President Bush justified. Even Slick Willie agrees!

Regardless.
They were not granting the UN inspectors access.
Should we have continued to wait until they complied, or used WMD's to find out whether they were there or not?
If there was nothing ther, and they knew that war was imminent, then why not just do the dang deal, and let it be done?
Obviously there was something to hide.
I'm terribly sorry, but I continue to be confused...... do we really still think that Bush decided on his own that he should say that there were WMD's, and then coerce the rest of our goverment to go along with this "lie"?
He is an elected official, who has been appointed to make decisions based on the information he is given. Do we really want to continue to stand by the theory that the Almighty Bush has the power to exact his own personal brand of justice while everyone else in the country stands by, watches it, and claims to be incapable of having stopped this mad man from starting a war we "never" wanted? BULL

This is such a tired arguement...

UN sanctions ignored for 14 + years-thumbing his nose at the rest of the world. He made more of a mockery of the UN that Kofi Anan could ever hope to do on his own.

Hussien had buried fighter jets in the dessert. Not one or two-dozens. What else is buried out there? And don't you think it is possible that weapons were shipped out ahead of military action? Hussien had plenty of advance warning that we were coming.

The guy is worm food. Let him die. Some folks just need to be killed, and he is one of them.

Ok .so to what purpose would the US , Russia, And England agree that there WAS / Is WMD ......? We haven't agreed with Russia with anything. So, why did Russia report WMD ?

Everybody is lying, every one has their own agenda. and it doesn't matter to governments , whether governed by madmen or gentlemen , who survives a nuclear nightmare.......
And what would there be after the fact ? Nothing......

Oh yes, sarin is a weapon of mass destruction .....aging yes , but lethal ........

The clock is ticking.....Everyone is lying and we are all the potential loosers in this travesty.......

I agree with all three of those answers to some extent. I think that your own opinion has been brought into this question And if you believe everything that you read you will never be able to stand...I think that you should draw your own conclusion....Either from your gut feeling or the news..

You have been disillusioned by the left-wing propaganda machine... the liberal news media. Perhaps you're the one lying!

WMDs have indeed been found. In fact, an entire book has been written and published about it. Nice try though.

Saddam is not Innocent of anything.

And Bush acted on information he received from the US, Russia, and England.

And then, Congress authorized the war.

So, don't you ever blame this on our President.

No WMD were found. No manufacturing facilities, which are almost impossible to hide, were found. Now who do you think was lying?
