I'm stuck on a few math problems, but in order for me to figure them out I first need to figure out what this symbol (^)means..
For example:
9x ^ 2 = 14

It's a symbol for a power. For instance,
9x^2 = 9x².

The question is quite simple the symbol ^ means "raised to" or the exponent of in your case 2. The question would something like this:
"9x=the square root of 14."
