plug USB cable from PSP to computer ...
on your PSP choose USB connection (on XP a removable disk will open)....
scroll down to open folder to view files click on it and then ok. There will be a folder named PSP double click on it and create a folder called music open it and leave it open
open folder containig your ITUNES music
select music you want to transfer to your PSP
drag or copy and paste from your ITUNES folder to the PSP folder
when you connceted the USB cable you will have an icon on your toolbar that reads safe to remove software .... right click on it
select save to remove hardware disconnect USB cable from PSP ...transfer is done.

The PSP does NOT recognize m4p files (the format iTunes uses). Please do not follow the previously given instructions from others that have answered, as it will result in unusable files sitting on your PSP. In order to transfer the files to your PSP, you must first convert them into an audio format your PSP recognizes. To do that, you should first burn the songs you wish to transfer to a CD using the iTunes software. Once you do that, you can in turn rip the tracks from the CD into a format the PSP will recognize, such as an .mp3. To burn tracks, you can use a variety of programs, although Windows Media Player works just fine for this purpose.

Once you have done that, you can hook your PSP up to your PC via the USB cable. This will create a drive on your pc, and you can drag and drop the files you ripped from the CD into the music folder on your PSP.
