It has really been bothering me. But, I haven't seen the movie, so I am not sure if it will become apparent once I watch it.

Because in the movie, "pursuit of happyness" is spray painted on the wall next to Will Smith's character's son's daycare. He keeps trying to get the man who owns the building to clean it off so his son won't grow up thinking happiness is spelled that way.

There's a scene in the movie where Chris confronts someone on Happiness being misspelled on the wall of the daycare center that he sends his son to.

Two reasons:
1. As mentioned, it is part of the movie.
2. So you will notice the misspelling. (subliminal) By noticing the misspelling, you will think about the name of the movie. (subliminal ) By thinking of the name of the movie, you're more likely to remember it. (subliminal) The more you remember it, the more likely you are to go see it.

i'm not gonna repeat what ppl have already said. it is misspelled outside a daycare in an asian neighborhood. i am gonna say go watch the movie...it is absolutely amazing. and keep ur eyes peeled at the last minute or you'll miss it. try to see if u can figure it out.

Hollywood changes spellings and things like that to be creative......that could just be another try at creativity.
