Yes. It happens to be one of the brightest objects in the sky.
Work out your Latitude and Longitude. Go to a web site called Heavens Above. You register on that and enter Lat and Long. The website will tell you when you can see the International Space Station. It's quite impressive, as are Iridium flares. These are low orbiting satellites which show up really bright for a few seconds.

Not at the moment. When the Mir came down it was very clearly seen low in the sky over my town and at the same time the International Space Station could be seen just behind it. Quite a thrill I can tell you.
