I think wrap dresses look great and well suit curvious figured women. Take for example some of the links i have shown below, to give you a rough idea, of what you could wear daytime or nighttime.

Wrap dresses are great because the band on the waist provides a divide, making it look like you have a thinner waist. These dresses often have a v-neck top part that provides a good cleavage and shape to the body. Whilst the lower skirt section is designed to hide flumpy legs and cover areas unseen such as cellolite, however the slit that the wrap provides, makes the look sexy. Not showing off too much flesh.

You can dress up and down these dresses, whether its for work or a party in the town.. adding accessories to your desire is achieveable.

Hi doughnut! I also wear a 14. I find that a two piece dress allows you to look more thin, and with a waist. I have a belly and 2 pieces help cover that up. But, if you have your heart set on a 1 piece, you can always get a bustier that will suck everything in for you. That is the most comforting to me.

Definitely a wrap dress. They are so flattering, they make the most of your boobs and hips while diverting attention away from a flabby bum or tummy. You can dress the wrap dress up or wear caual. I have about 10! They are sold at most high street shops. Good luck - more girls should wear dresses. Theres a dress for every size and shape out there. Accentuate your femininity!

I don't know enough about your body type, but a halter dress is one of most universally flattering dresses there is. It looks good on any body type, because it has a high waist, making your waist thinner, and a v neck, which draws the eye down away from your tummy down to your legs. Tons of stores have them, but I think the prettiest ones are at BCBG Max Azria. You can visit their website, which I've listed on the source below.

A short-sleeve dress with a bit of ruffles on the sleeves hides big arms, and certain ruched dresses bring the focus of the dress to the center, not around your figure.

Trying to lose weight? Good for you. :) I've gone from 138 pounds to 119 pounds and I feel a whole lot better already.

Wrap dresses are the big thing at the moment. The good thing about wrap dresses is that you adjust them to suit your shape.

Can wear them on their own with fancy shoes or boots or team up with jeans or trousers.
