I think Saddam is far from innocent. It is strange, however, that there have been more deaths in Iraq since we invaded than during Saddam's entire reign. Though that is no excuse for Saddam, it makes someone else look equally guilty.

But I am skeptical of many of the charges levied against him.
Much was pumped up by the liberal media. eg Dead Kurds went from 5000 to 100.
The problems I have do not apply to Iraqi law. like expost facto. Iraq has no such laws.
The guy was a weasel and if you live by the sword than expect to die by the sword.

I do not believe he did anything any other person would not have done, if he/she were in his place. Using force to suppress rebellion against the ruling govt is neither uncommon nor considered illegal. There are plenty of examples in history from many different countries. China did it in Tinanmen Sq. India did it in Amritsar's Golden Temple. British govt did it in Jalian Wala Bagh in India. (In fact British govt did it in many of their colonial countries.) How come none of these is illegal, but only Saddam's ?
What is it the US govt is doing in Iraq now ? Is it not using brutal force and mercilessly killing Iraqis to suppress rebellion/insurgency ?

Even if the pretext of the war is false, he is guilty of so many other crimes and human rights violations that he needs to be gone.

Hah. This is the decline of humanity right here. Why would you, even for a second, doubt his guilt.......it's the liberal media hard at work.

Are you kidding or what?
He is guilty of killing scores of his own people.
He is guilty of stealing from his own people.
He is guilty of wars, famine, strife.
He is a toad.
