It's nice Point Breeze(where I live) is a great neighborhood this is a very quiet and clean neighborhood. There are plenty of families, it's a mostly Jewish community like Squirrel Hill. The closest walmart would be in the Waterworks or North Versailles and the closest Walgreens is just 5 minutes away in East Liberty. And no your car will not be broken into this area is very safe.

There is also a small business district in Regent Square with plenty of little shops and a theater.

Don't leave anything of value in sight when you park. Hope your car is still there when you return.
