free reign over this site? They can spout their vile hatred with apparent impunity but when decent people become outraged and say anything even slightly aggresive...Yahoo come steaming in to the rescue of the bigots!!!

Ok...a question...is yahoo another american institution like the readers digest that is set up to legitimise the supremecy agenda?

A very good question!

I don't know what is going on here either sometimes - it seems odd that I get a violation for answering a racist question with the quite inoffensive answer 'oh dear' and yet other really offensive and obscene answers never seem to get dealt with!

I persevere on here because I am genuinely interested in people's ideas and opinions but it is difficult sometimes!

I can't agree that Yahoo "goes after" thhose who challenge the trash you so justly find disgusting. My reason is simple--If they did, they'd have kicked me off long ago--while I usually ignore such crud, when I do respond, I'm not at all shy telling racists, etc., just what I think of them (though I'm careful to avoid foul language).

But why tolerate them in the first place? It appears Yahoo is trying to do some things to rein this stuff in--and that's long overdue. But the real question is how/where to draw the line. From a legal standpoint, the right to free speech does not apply--Yahoo owns the boards and can what standards they choose in return for allowing access to what is in fact their property.

But the PRINCIPLE of free expression does apply. I don't want these scum around--any more than you do--but at the same time, I don't want Yahoo (or anyone else) deciding what can/cannot be said. So I appreciate their quandry--how to police thir services--Answers, Message Boards, etc.--without becoming censors? And there's no simple answer.

The trouble with a free society is that its free to all , if you change that it will no longer be so and you might find that your veiws will be considerd wrong , who could be oppointed to judge what is correct and what is wrong, every person has there own opionion on that, so that would mean that the persons veiw who was oppointed would be paromount over everybody else , then you have a dictatorship , finding scapgoats because the veiws expessed do not agree with yours is a maxist veiw so of to the salt mines with you. not that i agree with any of the opionions
on this page, but at least im allowed to differ

Wow - a lot of thumbs down for the answers so far!

I guess they can't stop free speech and lack of censorship is what the internet is based on - add censorship and it all breaks down. If you don't like the minorities you have just as much right to say it here as anywhere else I guess. Of course for every person who agrees with you, there will be one who disagrees - but that's life.

Because living in a free country, its each persons god given right to make an *** of themselves and spew hate. For some it makes them feel big to pick on others. For all of them, their hatred comes from some short coming they are trying to hide from the rest of the world. We may not be able to stop them from embarrassing themselves, or making asses of themselves, But at least we can laugh at their lack of education and correct grammar, and know that what ever short coming they have in their lives, it must be a big one to bother to be a bigot or a homophobe!

Unfortunately there are too many ignoramuses who use YA to spout their ill-thought out opinions (if you can call them that).
It's a real shame that there is not more real meaningful questioning and answering. So much of it seems to be mindless mud-slinging.

I have strong views, but I love debating with other people with differing views.

I think the whole points thing is partly to blame - encourages people to say something when they've got nothing to say.

You have my sympathies. It's like I get all of these stupid answers and then go on to ask other questions. The reason I am answering your question is because I am bored and I have nothing else to do. This is the only reason people go to this website.

I thought Yahoo was owned by some Indian guy. Forget those haters, their opinions, even though corrupted are protected by our constitution. I could care less about what they say, they obviously lack understanding of what God wants from them.

I get the feeling that there's a much larger conspiracy than just YA and the digest.
