It will not make more grow, go ahead and pluck, honey. Your hormones are whats making them grow. You may have a hormonal imbalance, next time you see your doctor, ask him/her about it. Meanwhile, you can pluck it, wax it, bleach it, or get electrolysis done at a salon. With electrolysis, it will be gone for good, but that doesn't mean it couldn't grow out of other follicles. Just, whatever you do, don't shave the hair of, that's what will make it thicker, longer, and darker. Any way, don't fret about those little hairs, you're probably the only one noticing them.

Okay, first off, plucking hair does NOT make more hair grow. Whoever told you that is incorrect. Second off something like 30 to 40 percent of women have facial hair of some form. You have a few options with things you can do on your own, of course, there is always professional hair removal.

Waxing-which is pulling the hair out by it's root. Some nail salons offer facial waxing, too, if you don't feel like attempting it on your own. It's fairly cheap ranging from 10-20 bucks. Don't feel embarrased going in and asking for it. They do it everyday and aren't shocked by anything they see.

Bleaching-This turns the hair blond so that is is less noticable. This option is better for light complected people, since blond hair wouldn't blend with darker skin.

Plucking-Which you could do with a pair of tweezers. The main problem with plucking is that is can leave some discoloration where the hair was pulled from the root on sensitive and darker skin.

Shaving-the thought of shaving everyday may not sound like something you'd like to do. And no, if someone tells you that shaving makes hair grow back more coarse they are incorrect, too. Sometimes people think that the hair grows back coarser because what actually happens is that the hair is cut at a blunt angle, so it appears and feels sharper at the end. When you pull the hair out by the root the end of the hair is going to be fine.

I hope that helps.

I presume that by hairs, you do not mean blond peach fuzz that everyone has. Maybe individual thicker dark hairs?

PLUCKING will not make them grow back faster, but it will damage the follicles.

Waxing is not usually very effective on these types of hair because they are so scattered and thick.

The best answer is Electrolyosis. This is a procedure in which a small needle is inserted into the hair follicle and a teeny electric charge is sent to "kill" the root. It is permanent (I had my eyebrows done this way), but takes a number of sessions depending upon the number and thickness of hairs.

However, from experience, if you do pluck a lot before getting it done, it takes much longer to be effective. The hair follicles are damaged.

Electrolysis is usually offered in a salon, or other skin care center. Make sure the person is well certified according to State standards.

If the growth increases, you may wish to visit your doctor and have your hormone levels checked. High levels of testosterone can also cause excessive hair growth.

Plucking won't make them grow back worse, but shaving them would, it makes the hair stronger. If it's only a few you could just pluck them all the time, 3 or 4 hairs won't take forever to do and it will only be now and again. Don't worry about it too much x

You were told correctly. Hair growth on the chin is hormonally driven in both males and female by the hormone testosterone and plucking/waxing/threading/epilating/sugaring all run the risk of actually strengthening the hair growth (though if the hair were elsewhere and not hormonally-stimulated plucking etc. might have weakened the regrowth).

The problem with most other methods of hair removal is that what destroys hair almost always causes a certain amount of damage to the surrounding skin, because hair and skin are very similar in composition.

Chemical depliatory creams and lotions tend to burn the skin badly, as can laser and sometimes electrolysis. Both the latter can cause bad scarring. In spite of what they claim, they can be very short-lived in effect unless your hormone balance is changed.

The best answer in terms of non-invasive action which won't damage your skin is to shave, using a men's-type electric razor. Many women find that models from the Norelco (Philishave outside the US) men's range are about the most suitable. It only takes (literally) a few seconds each time.

Use a hair removal cream such as Nair if you live in the UK as this is a way of removing the hair painlessly and also it doesnt grow back thicker it grows back the same but it takes like two or three weeks before you see the hair so if you do it every week or every other week then it will never show! It's also really cheap to buy like £1 a sachet and you can use it for other areas to like legs and bikini line etc.

You can pluck it. Trust me it won't multiply if you do. If that would be the case I know many bald men, my husband being one, who would pluck the hairs on their head in hopes of multiplying their hair. If it's just one hair pluck it. It's no big deal, it's quite common, I have the same stupid hair that's been growing on my chin for the past 15 years & I've been plucking that same stupid hair. It's still the only one I have. Happy New Year.

How many are there?

I've had an odd one growing now and again, and have plucked them out. It's only ever one at a time, and very rarely. Nothing's grown back since the last time I plucked it (which was a while ago)

Plucking will be fine. The only way to get more hair is to grow more follicles, which is impossible. It is normal to have a bit of hair on your whole face, its called down hair. If you look close, you will see it up on your cheeks. If the hair becomes dark, you can either bleach it, wax it or simply use tweezer and pull it out. But trust me, everything will be fine.

Pluck it, thats the best way to do it as you are pulling the hair from its root and it will not make you grow more honest! what i will say though is that it will prebely keep coming back so its best to just pluck it.

Hope this helps x x
