I got a World Industries snowboard, and 5150 bindings. Do you think they'll last for a long time?

that is an alright set up, nothing amazing but nothing to stick your nose up at either. the length of time that they will last all depends on how you treat your gear. one of the guys i ride with still has a board from 10 years ago that he teaches people on and it is still a solid board. he is all freeride so his gear it not taking as much of a beating as say a freestyle rider. keep your base waxed and don't treat your board like crap and it should last you a while.

It souneds ok ive never ridden a world industries board and think they have gone bust now so it would be quite old. But that doesent mean it will be bad just because its a few years old and they seemed to be a quite well respected company. Don't know anything about 5151 bindings but as long as they are compfy and don't move when you ribe they should be ok.

it depends on how often you go up. once or twice a year is cool. if yo plan on going like 15 times per season you will probably grow out of it. i have never used 5150 bidings so i can't tell you.

It depends on your style of riding and how frequently, I haven't heard of them, I wouldn't count on it lasting too long -depends on the quality of the surface and the edges, if they cut corners in the composites and structure of the board.

It's an average set up. I use more reliable stuff for my board. All burton.

No.

But it is what you have so ride it hard. Don't baby your board. When it becomes a noodle, just get a new one. (Something from Mervin Mfg. [LibTech, GNU, etc...])
