Look in your loacal phone book under adoption or call a lawyer in your area or legal aid (its free) if you have it where you live, and ask them about it.
If your young, I would consider telling your parents they may be able to help you out, being pregnant is a very emotional time, and you need all the support you can get (((HUGS)))

It depends if the parents are alive and trying to gain custody of the child. If not and the agency does not know where the parents are and the child is up for adoption then you can go to them and start the process of adopting the child. It can take a long time for the adoption process to end. There is a lot of red tape and if you are patient you will succeed. If not, then don't even try. By the way, they will check you out from one end to the other.

if you are adopting a baby, yes, it has to go before a court and the parent or parents have to sign the baby over...
