I also do lash extensions though I was trained by Lavish Lashes, I have tried the Xtreme products and they're about as good as most products out there. I prefer Lash Beauty products but have been doing extensions long enough that I have gathered the best products from several different lines: lashes and eye pads from one company, glue from another, protein remover from yet another.

It's not the product you use as much as the training that your technician has. This is a true art form in the world of beauty. Anyone can find someone to sell them the products - once they have the products they "might" even get training. Yet, even with training it takes skill and practice, practice, practice before a professional adds it to his/her menu of services. I would advise that you ask your tech more questions about her training than her products. Also ask her how long she's been doing the procedure and how many she's done. She should also have before & after photos for you to see.

I charge $250 -$300 for initial sets and $75 for touch ups every 2-3 weeks. It takes 1 1/2 hours.

To be honest, even with proper placement and care, rarely do clients want to follow-up with home care so I do extensions ONLY if my client really has his/her heart set on them. For a much healthier and far less costly alternative I am usually able to talk my extension-seeking clients towards a lash growth accelerator such as Jan Marini Age Intensive Lash (which I prefer) or Revitalash MD. As an aesthetician I'm concerned with the health of my client and that includes her pocketbook. I want her on products and treatments that work and are healthy and in my book, extensions are not the way to go.

Good luck!

i do lash extensions in the salon and spa i work at. we charge $300-$350 for the extensions and they take 2-3 hours to apply. You will need to come back every two weeks, we charge $75 to touch up shed lashes. It is very much worth the money, especially for a special occasion or period of time like a wedding and honeymoon and etc. Just like hair extensions, wearing them for very long periods of time can damage your natural lashes, so i would take a break a few times a year for a month or so if you plan to wear them all the time.
