Most DVD's cannot just be simply copied, They rather need to be ripped (where the file streams are pulled off the DVD) then these files can be burned back to another disk, However there are propriatary assemblers and DVD menu structures that cannot be copied, so you have to arrange the files in order so the collective files can be played as a single source stream, there are some programs out there for this.

You can't just copy a dvd it has to be ripped first. The best ripping program is DVD shrink (just Google it) because it is free and shrinks any size disk to fit onto a single layer disk. This program is not being made anymore so some of it's decryption keys are put of date so you can get dvd decrypter (Google it) to rip the disc, than run it through dvd shrink to burn it. If you have Nero 6 or later it works with DVD shrink so that you can automatically burn the disk straight after it has been ripped.

Magic DVD copier is a easy to use one button program. I have been using the DVD shrink program but it will not work on alot of new movies because they are putting blocks on them. Go to download.com and you can found downloads of all these programs.Good luck!

If you have a DVD writer on your laptop just download the movies and burn them onto DVD discs.
