No way! On one group I belong to, we had a poll for the worst President since WWII and Dubya was voted worst of the list. Way too many issues and I'm surprised he hasn't had impeachment proceedings brought against him! The power of the Christian Coalition!
Sad......

anybody who can say for certainty either way is party banner waiving. History is just that History. But the facts are that any controversial and military decisions though out history have come with criticism. Lincoln was vilified, Churchill was vilified they stuck to their guns and their worries became reality. It may or may not turn out that way for bush but the people that see him being good are the ones that have an understanding why he is doing what he is doing. In a few years the understanding of how good the economy is now will come out as well as what threats we face and that will shed some light that has been taken off of him by the tough decisions he has had to make. Probably every president has made both good and bad decisions but the great ones have the good decisions outweigh the bad which can only be judged after the fact.

Only time will tell if he is one of the greatest ever. I noticed you added Lincoln to your list of great Presidents. Having done so, I am sure you know how unpopular he was during his administration; throwing the Constitution out the window like he did. It took the end of the war and his own death for him to get any credit.
So unless you have a crystal ball or some kind of time machine, I would not be too quick to state Bush's legacy either way. There are a lot of if's that can take it in many various directions.

I think there are some people that think he is a great president, though I think Reagan was an asshole, he is considered a great president I don't think that history will be as kind to Bush as it is to Reagan. The last Republican President that had the potential for being truly great was Richard Nixon before Watergate, the last Democrat was probably Kennedy. Everyone else (with the exception of Reagan) will go along the lines of Fillmore, Pierce, Harrison etc. Known presidents but not much sticks out about their presidency

He has carried out greater sturdy will in africa than any president to this point, a advantageous piece maximum liberals dont difficulty to boost. He larger the shielding skill of this us of a. Katrina became embarrassing despite the fact that this is the difficulty with contingency plans ya never be attentive to they suck till the **** hits the fan. Now how ever we glance a splash over arranged for organic failures so a minimum of we found out from our mistake. Iraq sucks it could have been greater fee-effective just to assassinate that prick Saddam yet hind sight is 20/20. Afghanistan became a valid war and a especially useful one because we've torn the **** out of the top echelon of particular terrorist companies. Any gadget who surely thinks that the president could have this lots of an result on the economic gadget somewhat could look over the final 25 years and notice how those companies surely artwork.

I think he has been an acceptable president. I voted for him both times.
I don't agree with his stand on a number of issues, but I do believe it was the right move to go into Afghanistan and Iraq.
I don't think the Iraq invasion was well thought out from a domestic point of view (Iraqi, not U.S.). I think that there is a fundamental mis-understanding among many in the goverment as to what Muslims really believe and hence, a total misunderstanding of what would happen after the invasion.
I do not think he will be "...one of the greatest presidents ever", but I do believe he was at the right place at the right time (much like I believe Gerald Ford was in the right place at the right time when he became president).

According to a panel of esteemed historians from Harvard University who rate each past president's performance based on comprehensive criteria, they claim that Bush will go down in history as the worst president ever. No contest. Hey, don't blame me; I'm merely the messenger.

One thing you are forgetting. You mention Lincoln, but it actually took a couple of generations to pass by before he started to be looked at favorably. The Civil war was not so popular with the generation at the time. Only time will tell for sure about the role that this President played in the the fight against global Islamo-fascist terrorism.

By the standards of the politically correct liberals in the democratic party today you would be treating all those past presidents that you mentioned just as you are doing Bush today lol
