thinking speech pathologist anyone know any more master level career ideas i can follow with a background undergrad degree in sociology? i know i must first meet the req. for grad school for a degree, but my back ground is sociology any ideas?

With a degree like that you could always apply to the police academy and become an officer. Most police departments around where I live require a college degree for any position above a patrolman or deputy.

If you want to be a speech pathologist, then you should get a degree in speech pathology, as that is a requirement for that job.

You can pursue a law degree and specialize in an area that deals with sociological issues.

How about an MBA? Maybe you can use your sociology degree as a tool for performing marketing related research.

Sociology is a terrible degree for making money. And $50k???? Who the hell can live on $50k? Where is your home..Arkansas?

don't get a degree in socioloy. i did & it was the worst thing i ever did. definately pick a different major

go right into a phd and become a professor.

if you go for your master's get into higher ed as well.

don't expect 50k right away
