i can search fine and it brings up the results fine, but i try to download it and it says that it is an unauthorized copy and it opens up some web page, i thought it would be just one song that it did it for but it happens for everything i try...why is this happening?

Do you get the red line? If you just upgraded Morpheus, the new version seems to have a bug. You can downgrade by visiting web.morphies.net and downloading the old version. Make sure you close out Morpheus before doing so. Good luck...let me know if it works!

The creators of Morpheus lost a court battle with the RIAA which means they can now be held liable for any copyright infringement their software allows, so now, as I understand it, any file you try to download that hasn't specifically been marked as copyright free won't download. Basically it means Morpheus is useless switch to something like LimeWire if you really must use one of the old style P2P client. Or BitTorrent if you want to get decent speeds and no fake files.
