Someone told me that when you talk to people romantic is one of the options.....is that true. And this is the sims 2 PETS

with the sims 2, you are able to fall in love with the indiviudal depending on the buttons you click, e.g kiss or friendly hug or just talk, depending on your relationship rating you can be romantic and date properly in the game.
the sims pets is an expansion pack to the sims 2, just like the sims nightlife and open for business, you build up on the game, so the original features of the sims 2 like hugging romantically will be available on the pets.

Well, it depends. If you are talking about the Sims 2 Pets for the Computer, you can do everything you could do before, which includes falling in love.
But on Sims 2 Pets for the Nintendo DS, it is based on taking care of pets, so no, you can't fall in love, and you really can't interact with the people much.

Uhh..yeah! Why wouldn't you? The Sims 2 Pets is just an add on to the regular Sims. You can always fall in love in the Sims, no matter what!
