No. The fiscal conservatives have already jumped ship, complaining that no real conservative would have run up that much debt in that short a time. The libertarian conservatives have abandoned him over his suspension of civil liberties. You know, minor things like habeus corpus.

The religious right aren't so sure that Tucker Carlson and David Kuo aren't correct in their assesment of the contempt that the administration and the Republican elite have for the theocrats.

Twenty % approval suggests that a lot of Republicans have come to their senses, realizing that this Christian Conservative is neither.

If Bush was an incumbent for a third term he would be the Republican nominee but I think he would lose to almost any Democrat candidate, if people had the hindsight before he was president to see what he would have turned this country into, McCain would have beat him in 2000 and he probably would have beaten Gore (Remember Bush lost the Popular Vote by half a million in 2000)

I don't know about "Real Republicans" and I suspect you are talking all of them who are not rich, religious fanatics or Neocons!

The fact is many Republicans voted Democrat in last months election and one of the largest increases were those who make between $50,000 and $100,000! They know who is going to pay the taxes for 8 years of Bush malfeasance!

Thank God he can't run for a 3rd term! He would lose anyway, unlike Clinton if he could have run!!

I don't know who you consider "real", but a unexpectedly long list of Repuke rats, once highly placed in the Dumbya Coup, are jumping off the Dumbya ship. I think Dumbya can really only count on Laura, but NOT Buddy who Dumbya had neutered.

Well, the 20% who still approve of him could try, but they wouldn't get very far with those numbers would they?
