I married in the US, and my wife is still in US and I have no marriage record in UK. Can I register a marriage with another woman in UK? Is it a polygamy?

You are married and know this, why would you want to. Just go file for divorce.

If you think about it you can leave this country - UK - and get married anywhere in the world. You must have seen all those marriage brochures you can book from these days. So if you got married in the US and you live here you're still married in the eyes of the law unless you get a divorced - which I strongly recommend.

It most certainly is polygamy and could land you in a lot of hot water. In fact, even once divorced in the country you were legally married in, you must also register your divorce in any other countries you may have lived together in as a married couple before remarrying.

Because you got married, you will have to get a divorce from first wife before you can married another one legally. Yes it is called polygamy and is illegal in the U.S. and other countries. First get the divorce and then you will be free to marry again.

Why not be honest and ask the divorce to ur wife?
That way you can marry the UK woman and will let ur wife free to get another relation also.
and ...YES.......it would be poligamy if you get marry without divorcing first.......unless you are muslim and have got married by islam's law. In that case...you still can marry 3 more women.....if you have the money to support the 3 in same way

i will answer your question with a interesting fact. a friend of mine got married in this country (uk) to a immigrant from the middle east. they got married because they are in love and want to spend the rest of their life together. but what my friend found out is that even though their marriage is legal in this country (uk) its not recognised in his country in the middle east. if they want to live in his country he will have to arrange in his country to get the marriage legal in his. but to answer your question best you pay lots of money to a lawyer to get the answer.
