Because I don't have to cover my face and hide my mind, I can walk on my own with my head held high. I can fight for my country and home if I wish and I can worship in whatever way I choose. I can say my president is not doing a good job with out getting shot. I can own my own property and not be property.
Yeah, we have problems, but most people have no idea how good we've got it here until they spend some time working in other countries.

Because what's not to love? We have everything our hearts desire for the pursuits of life, liberty and happiness. We can voice our opinions freely, vote our consciences, worship our God in spirit and truth without threat of jail or death, (or not worship and complain about the Christians who wished you would join them!) and we are a generous country filled with more good neighbors than not.
I'm proud to be an American and am not unfaithful to her just because she is not at her best at this time in history. The land of the free and home of the brave also has a lovely diverse landscape and you can have your choice of climates as well as find a sector to live in that fits your lifestyle from the city to the country. At this time, we can own our own land and do what we want within reason if we can afford it.

Despite your corrupt government, despite the CIA, running all over the world training death squads, despite the fact that your elected government never deals with or debates the issues that the public care most about. On top of that you are the most targeted people on the planet with the largest propaganda apparatus in the history of the world.
Righteous voices can always be heard screaming for justice and equality that the government is constantly undermining at your expense. Yes I remember when American workers went to some Latin American Country to stand with exploited workers by an American corporation. Most of all when people from all over the states went to I forget which country, but it was one the government sent down for REGIME CHANGE to make more CORPORATE FRIENDLY meaning they do what they want without the government asking for anything, like taxes or follow pollution laws and stop dumping poison in their water and air. My fluttered as American citizen poored down by the tens of thousands to save these people from the American government.
So I guess I love the spirit wanting justice done, and getting out the word despite the silence of the major mainstream media, or distortion of facts.

Cause i live here.
Why would I want to hate the place I live? wouldn't that be like hating part of who i am?
if you check the news you will not find that everyone says they love america, which is fine. if their country makes them feel better than ours makes us, good on them. there are good aspects to many different parts of the world and i wish that america was better in several areas.
but i'm here and i am going to love it. when i don't love it anymore it will time for me to try to find something better elsewhere.
