First of all, if you're a guy, for the love of god, don't listen to what the girls give you as choices. No offense to the ladies er nothin, but they just have totally different tastes than guys. if you're looking for rock music, go to yahoo. A buttload of people already told you to go there, but make an account on yahoo, its completely free. On the yahoo music site you can make your own radio station fit to your likings and can rate the music it plays. but listen to thae radio and stuf like that. Everyone has different tastes. I'm not good on individual songs, I could go on for days. But let me put you on the right track with some bands. These are my favorites but I think some of the best bands came out of the 90's. Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Smashing Pumpkins, Rage Against the Machine. That's more alternative or grunge. Some good metal bands are Metallica, Anthrax, Megadeth, Pantera, and the greatest thrash metal band of all time, Slayer. Now you could break them all down into different categories and genres all day but those are some excellent "rock" bands for ya. Happy Listening.

MTV does not always play GOOD songs, so disregard that answer. Though it is VERY overplayed, I really like "Lips of an Angel" by Hinder. "Make Damn Sure" by Taking Back Sunday is pretty awesome too. ;)

Anna Molly by Incubus is a good song.
But yeah, I would check out MTV or Fuse.

it all depends on what you like go to yahoo music and listen to some song then write them down and download them with limwire.
